Gurtej Singh Brar is your Alberta New Democrat MLA in Edmonton-Ellerslie. Educated at Ashton College and with a background in media, he has spent years amplifying the voices of his community.
Beyond his professional life, he’s a self-taught tech enthusiast who built his first computer from scratch, and he maintains a 1,500-book home library that he regularly shares with his neighbours.
He knows life is getting harder in Edmonton-Ellerslie under the UCP, with the cancelled South Edmonton hospital, rising costs, overcrowded schools, and growing concerns about community safety.

All supporters are welcome, but to vote or run for the Executive (President, Treasurer, etc.), you must hold an active Alberta NDP membership. You can renew or begin your membership here. If you are unable to join us but still wish to support the team, donations supporting our team can be made here.
Please note that as a result of an Elections Alberta decision, recurring monthly donations will no longer automatically renew your membership and you will need to renew.
